California native Ben Bording has been landscaping for twenty years, and has been a licensed California landscaper since 1992. In 2002, one of his designs won the coveted Judges Award of the CLCA (California Landscape Contractors Association).

With a spotless record as a professional landscaper, Ben's vision and enthusiasm create magical spaces into which his clients can retreat or socialize. The sheer variety of garden styles and elements make each garden unique, and he loves a good challenge.

Along with his love of the natural world, Ben is also a gifted musician. A multi-intrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter, Ben has released two hot jazz-infused, Afro-Caribbean rhythm and blues CDs called The Age of Light and Musical Gardens. Influences include Django Reinhart, Charlie Christian, Al Dimeola, Miles Davis, Pat Metheny, Jeff Beck, and Brazilian, African, and even Zydeco music.

Ben lives Watsonville with his wife, Emily, an instructor of Ashtanga yoga, and their young daughter. Their gardens and orchards are overflowing with love and work.
