Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist
and songwriter, Ben "Jammin’ " Bording has released
two hot jazz-infused, Afro-rhythm and blues CDs: Age of Light and Musical Gardens.
Ben has played all over the world as back-up guitarist, singer,
and percussionist to Grammy Award winners Queen Ida and Al Rapone,
playing zydeco and New Orleans styles of music.
His influences include Django Reinhart, Charlie Christian, Al
Dimeola, Pat Metheny, Miles Davis, Jeff Beck, Brazilian, straight
ahead, jazz standards, classical rock, blues, zydeco, tango, flamenco,
and swing.
Ben is also the owner of a successful design-and-build landscape
company. He lives Watsonville, California, with his wife, Emily,
an instructor of Ashtanga yoga, and their young daughter. Their
gardens and orchards are overflowing with love and work.
It is Ben Bording's goal to raise the vibration musically, horticulturally,
and hysterically, wherever he goes. |

Musical Gardens runs the gamut from acid jazz to African
to East Indian. Some of the best musicians in the Bay Area are featured
on this CD.
On naming his first CD, "Musical Gardens", Bording said,
" Plants and gardens are like music, they travel across borders
very easily and mix culturally just as dance, the culinary arts
and architecture."
His CD is dedicated to raising the vibration across all borders.
